Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has been recognised among the 100 Most Influential Women in Africa at the 4th Edition of the African Women Awards held in Kigali, Rwanda.

The awards, organised by the She Achievers Network, celebrate African women who continue to shape the continent through leadership, innovation, and impact.

In her statement following the announcement, Governor Ndeti said she was “deeply honoured to be recognized among remarkable African women who continue to shape our continent through leadership, innovation, and impact.”

She added that being listed among the Top Female Icons under the She Achievers Network motivates her to continue championing transformative governance, women and youth empowerment, and community-driven development.

“I dedicate this honour to the people of Machakos County and to all women across Africa who continue to dream boldly, break barriers, and lead with purpose,” she stated.

The African Women Awards have become one of the continent’s leading platforms celebrating women whose leadership and innovation inspire progress in governance, business, social impact, and development.
