Kaimosi Teachers Training College (TTC) volleyball coach Geoffrey Lwangu is gunning for the western region title as the games kick off in Lugari, Kakamega on Wednesday.

Lwangu has exuded confidence in his team's ability to overcome archrivals Bondo TTC, who edged them 3-2 in last year's finals.

Speaking after finalizing preparations, Lwangu expressed confidence that his team will rectify past mistakes, citing improvements in reception and blocking.

"We were caught off guard last year, but we have worked on our weaknesses," he said.

Kaimosi TTC, representing Vihiga County alongside Bunyore TTC, aims to fly the county flag high and make a strong statement in the competition.

The team departs for Lugari on Tuesday, fueled and ready to take on the best in the region.

"We will play each game at a time, without underrating any competitor," Lwangu stated, emphasizing his team's focus and determination.

With a mix of experience and new talent, Kaimosi TTC is poised to make a deep run in the tournament.

The team's previous two appearances ended in group stages, but last year's finals appearance gave them valuable experience.

"We're ready to take on the challenge and make Vihiga County proud," Lwangu said.

The stage is set for an exciting tournament, and Kaimosi TTC is ready to put on a show.
