The win saw Ingwe usurp Tusker FC to end 2025 top of the table with 24 points, level with the Brewers but with a superior goal difference as the league takes a two-week break.
Samuel Semo scored the all-important goal and his first for Leopards in the 31st minute thanks to Julius Masaba's brilliant pass, dribbling past Bidco goalkeeper to slot home the winner.
The 12-time league champions started the mid-week tie in eighth position on 21 points tied with Kakamega Homeboyz, KCB and Posts Rangers.
Knowing very well this was a chance to go joint top, Ingwe worked hard to get the winning goal from their new scorer Semo and a well cut out defensive discipline led by goalkeeper Humphrey Katasi.
Leopards now break for Christmas and New Year festivities before they return for a recharge to the title push.
The Fred Ambani-led blue and white army have now registered seven points in their last three matches —a 1-0 win against arch rivals Gor Mahia, a barren draw against holders Kenya Police and a spirited 1-0 win over Antony Akhulia's Bidco.
With the win, Leopards will be glad to break with the Christmas gift hoping to return with only one task—to fight tooth and nail for their first ever league title since 1998.
Their next assignment will be away to second-placed Tusker on January 10. Tusker have played two more matches than Leopards, who last won the KPL title in 1998.
