The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has asked universities and colleges across the country to submit their courses and student capacities as preparations begin for the placement of the 2025 KCSE class and other qualified candidates.
The declaration of programmes and capacities will run from October 6 to October 31, 2025, which marks the first step in the placement process for next year’s university and college
entrants.
“The declared programmes must be those currently offered by
your institution and duly accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE), or by the Technical and Vocational Education and
Training Authority (TVETA) in the case of TVET programmes,” said Dr
Wahome.
The placement agency has also written to Principals of National Polytechnics, Technical and
Vocational Colleges, Technical Training Institutes, Institutes of Technology,
and Secondary Teacher Training Colleges,
asking them to provide details of their approved programmes for the upcoming
cycle.
Similarly, Kenya
Medical Training College (KMTC) has been requested to submit its
accredited courses and capacities for publication on the KUCCPS online
placement system in readiness for the 2026
placement.
Dr Wahome added that the Kenya School of Law has also been asked to declare its approved
programmes, noting that the Diploma in
Law (Paralegal Studies) course was filled to capacity after being listed
on the KUCCPS system for the first time this year.
