Police officers from Kisumu Central Police Station have arrested two suspects after raiding a residential property operating an illicit Chang’aa distillery within Kisumu Municipality.

Following a tip-off, officers seized approximately 40 litres of Chang’aa and destroyed an additional 60 litres of Kangara, used in the brewing process.

In a statement the National Police Service (NPS) stressed its commitment to cracking down on illegal  brews and other unlawful activities.

"We are urging members of the public to continue providing timely information to help enhance security and safety," the  statement read in part.
