Police in Nyando, Kisumu County, are holding a man suspected
of stabbing to death his colleague over the weekend after a disagreement.
Nelson Okoth alias Adombo has been on the run after the
heinous act and was busted at his hideout in Kawino North Sub-location in
Kabonyo Kanyagwal.
Kawino North Chief Amos Odeny confirmed the incident saying
the suspect was hiding inside an abandoned house.
He said Adombo is accused of killing 22-year-old Joshua Abuto
after they disagreed on how to share some proceeds of crime.
The suspect has since been handed over to Directorate of
Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers in Nyando, awaiting arraignment.
The duo — both the suspect and the slain victim — have often
been associated with a number of criminal cases in the area, with the suspect
currently having a pending assault case at the Nyando Law Court.
He is reportedly linked to a notorious gang known as “Mbogi
Wrong,” which has been terrorising residents in the area.
