The Kilimani neighbourhood will come alive on November 1, 2025, as residents gather for the annual Kilimani Community Festival, a day dedicated to celebrating community, creativity, and sustainable urban living.

This year’s edition, themed “Together for a Greener, Safer, and Connected Kilimani,” will showcase the neighbourhood’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, inclusivity, and innovation.

Organised by the Kilimani Community Foundation (KCF) in collaboration with local partners, the festival will feature a range of activities including a charity football tournament, a recycling drive dubbed Kilicycle, craft and food markets, a morning business forum, live music, a book swap, and a children’s section.

According to Peter Kitavi, CEO of KCF, the festival remains a platform for residents, businesses, and families to connect and collaborate:

“We’re excited to host another Kilimani Community Festival that brings together people who live, work, and play in Kilimani. This year, we’re incorporating learning, networking, and inspiration to help local enterprises grow while celebrating our community spirit.”

A key feature of the 2025 festival will be The Biashara Collective, a business and innovation hub jointly led by Kayana and Wilde Digital. The initiative aims to empower small businesses—particularly those led by women and youth, through workshops, mentorship, and storytelling sessions focused on digital transformation.

Patricia Okelo, Co-Founder of Kayana, said the collaboration provides an opportunity to build a stronger ecosystem for local entrepreneurs: “The Biashara Collective is about helping entrepreneurs connect, learn, and grow together. We want to ensure small businesses are visible and equipped to thrive in today’s digital economy.”

Victoria Kimani, Founder of Wilde Digital, emphasised the role of technology in sustainable growth:

“Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities. Through the Biashara Collective, we want to show how digital tools and storytelling can open new markets and create lasting impact.”
