Kikuyu Law Court Administrator Duke Mainye said the judiciary will continue with the process to reinstate judicial service, where he assured the residents who had sureties like titles and logbooks will get back their documents as the judiciary continue to reintroduce all services in the precincts of the courts.
"There are burnt title deeds and some of those cases are being engaged by the management, we see how we will fast-track that. It has been a challenge to continue with cases, mostly criminal cases," he noted.
Kikuyu MCA Kamau Boro said the new blocks were built by Kikuyu Business Community in collaboration with Religious groups who have been tarmacking in a period of four months to Limuru law Courts to seek justice, mostly in criminal cases where suspects and accused could not be held in an open court.
"Criminial cases were taking long and the urgent ones were taken to Limuru Courts and we are thankful that now they will get justice on time," said MCA Boro.
The premise was set ablaze during the national anti-government protests after hours of confrontations between police and the protestors in Kikuyu town.
During the confrontations, the protestors had also set tyres on fire along the road.
The protests were part of the ongoing nationwide protests in remembrance of the victims of the June 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests.
