Kenya's ability sports team ready for World Beach Games

Kenya’s ability
sports team are raring to go ahead of their debut in the World Beach Games
slated for 18-25 in Mersin, Turkey.

comprises of a 23-member contingent to represent and will be gunning for
glories in all categories despite their novice status.

Kenya president Agnes Oluoch is confident of Kenya’s chances of excelling on
their maiden appearance, adding that the competition will serve as a benchmark
for success to the newly formed federation.
"I wish this team well, and I know that
we are going to come back home with medals," Agnes confidently remarks.
John
Mburu, the Air Para badminton Kenya national team head coach, echoes her
sentiments adding that he expects the team to do well in the competition give
their impressive build up.
"I promise that the team will bring home
medals and trophies, so expect the best from us." Mburu stated.
The championship, which is the First-Ever Para
Sport Beach Games, has attracted athletes from over 13 countries, aiming to
promote inclusivity, resilience, and athletic excellence among persons with
disabilities.
For Ability Sports Kenya, the games not only
mark another international appearance since the federation’s formation but also
signal a new era of opportunity and visibility for Kenyan Para-athletes on the
global stage.
Kenya will be looking to make history in
Turkey, flying the national flag high and proving that ability truly knows no
limits.
