Kenya Kwanza leaders led by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, Farouk Kibet, Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu and other leaders are continuing their mobilisation drive, urging Kenyans to join the ‘tutam’ (two-term) brigade.

Speaking in Likuyani, Farouk Kibet called on leaders to reject divisive politics and instead focus on unity, development and inclusive leadership.

“Let us stop turning Kenyans against each other,” said Kibet.

He urged Kenyans to embrace unity and inclusive leadership while calling on residents of Western Kenya to support President William Ruto for a second term.

Speaker Wetangula called for peaceful coexistence, warning against political intolerance and unnecessary political tensions. He said Kenya is bigger than individual political interests and urged Kenyans to remain united.

“Kenya is bigger and we need each other. Violence is a thing of the past,” he said.

Western Kenya leaders also renewed their call for the region to prepare to take up national leadership after President Ruto.

Malava MP David Ndakwa said Western Kenya leaders are now ready to lead the country and urged President Ruto to hand over the leadership mantle to the region when his time comes.

Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe called for unity across Western Kenya, saying the region is prepared to support one of its own after President Ruto.

“We do not want opposition; we also want to enjoy the benefits of government,” he said.

Wangwe noted that the Ruto administration has delivered development to Western Kenya and thanked the President for his efforts.

Meanwhile, Butere lawmaker Tindi Mwale said Kenyans want leaders who focus on development rather than division.

“We want development-oriented leaders. We do not want people who divide Kenyans,” he said.

The leaders cited various development initiatives by the Kenya Kwanza administration as they continued to rally support for President William Ruto and the ‘tutam’ brigade, while calling on Kenyans to embrace unity, peace and development-focused politics.
