Speaking at Ng’arachi Primary School in Laikipia West, Defence Principal Secretary Patrick Mariru said the initiative is part of ongoing programs by the KDF in counties with a history of banditry.
The PS added that the KDF will continue rehabilitating schools that were destroyed by bandits and urged residents to prioritize education as a foundation for long-term stability and development.
Laikipia County MP Jane Kagiri commended the efforts by the KDF and other security agencies in restoring peace in the region, noting that insecurity incidents have significantly reduced.
Governor Joshua Irungu echoed the sentiments, saying that with improved security, farmers can now focus on agricultural activities without fear of bandit attacks.
