Kabras fought back to salvage a draw in the Kenya Cup against KCB Lions this evening at Ruaraka Sports Club in Nairobi.

KCB started strong controlling territory as they won set pieces and gained ground on Kabras. A golden opportunity by Brian Wahinya with a penalty kicked short was passed up as the game gathered momentum.

However, Wahinya would make amends with his second penalty of the game shortly after. He made no mistake as KCB would take the lead on the 25-minute mark with the aim being top of the standings.

Ten minutes later, KCB would score the first try of the game, a good account of their dominance thus far as they had all the territory up to that point.

After KCB's second try Kabras would begin to gain more territory as they piled the pressure on their hosts at the tail end of the first half.

Kabras would go into the second period with the same level of enterprise as they looked to claw back a result that would help them retain their undefeated streak in the Kenya Cup that stretches all the way back to 2022.

Their efforts would pay dividends in the second period with a try and a conversion to bring it back within their reach at 10-7.

Kabras looked set to finally record their first loss in about three years until a penalty in the final minutes was awarded to them. They converted expertly to draw the game level and it would prove decisive as the game ended 10-10 with Kabras maintaining top spot in the standings.

KCB remain second in the standings as Kabras continue their unbeaten streak with a hard fought draw at Ruaraka Sports Club.
