Jumba, a digital marketplace for construction materials, on Tuesday unveiled the Jumba App, a platform designed to enable clients to find fair prices, trustworthy suppliers, and reliable deliveries of construction materials.

The company said the App will enable developers, contractors, and homeowners to avoid the frustrations of chasing multiple quotes, dealing with inconsistent prices, and waiting for deliveries that arrive late or not as promised.

Through the App, users can access a wide range of verified suppliers, compare prices in real time, and order everything they need. From cement to tiles, all from one trusted platform.

“Our mission is simple: to make building easy,” said Kagure Wamunyu, CEO and Co-Founder of Jumba.

“Whether you’re a developer managing multiple projects, a homeowner building your first house, or a Kenyan in the diaspora constructing a home back home, Jumba gives you confidence that what you order is what you get, on time and at the right price,” he added.

During its launch, the organisation assured transparent pricing where users can instantly compare prices across verified suppliers, eliminating overcharging and guesswork.

The App aims to be a one-stop shop offering reliable delivery and convenient ordering.

The launch event in Nairobi brought together industry leaders, government representatives, and major suppliers such as Crown Paints, Tuff Steel, Tononoka, Jumbo Steel, Comply Industries, Abyssinia, Mzito, National Cement, Dewalt, Blue Nile, and Bamburi, alongside contractors, developers, and homeowners eager to experience the future of construction sourcing.

The Jumba App is currently available to users within the Nairobi Metropolitan Area, with plans underway to expand across Kenya’s 47 counties.

“The mobile app marks a critical milestone in Jumba’s mission to simplify and modernize construction sourcing. As smartphone adoption and mobile internet usage rise, the app provides an intuitive, on-the-go solution tailored to Kenya’s builders and homeowners,” Wamunyu stated.
