Fresh from being appointed as the new head coach of Kenya Police Bullets FC, tactician David Bujego has wasted no time in setting out bold ambitions, declaring that he is the right man to lead the reigning champions into a new era of dominance.

Bujego, who previously handled Kibera Soccer Women and currently serves as the Kenya U17 Women’s assistant coach, said he is fully focused on guiding the Bullets to a historic treble. His sights are firmly set on the FKF Women’s Premier League, the FKF Women’s Cup, and the CECAFA Club Championships.

“I believe we are one, and our key goal is the CECAFA Club Championships. We have good players, and once they understand the philosophy, there will be results. I want to be among the first coaches to win the treble with a women’s team,” said a confident Bujego.

His appointment has been welcomed with optimism within the club hierarchy. Police Secretary General Chris Onguso hailed the move, noting their ultimate target remains securing qualification for the CAF Women’s Champions League.

“Our primary goal is still to reach the CAF Women’s Champions League through the CECAFA qualifiers. We have failed in past attempts, but we trust Coach Bujego to raise our standards and take us there,” Onguso said.

Onguso further admitted that Bujego’s impressive record with Kibera Soccer Women left Police Bullets no choice but to act quickly.

“He disturbed us with how he managed Kibera, and we knew we had to acquire him. Now, we believe he will deliver,” he noted.

The Bullets, who have been dominant in the domestic scene, will kick off their title defence against Kayole Starlets on Saturday, October 4. With continental ambitions also in sight, fans will be keen to see how quickly Bujego’s philosophy takes shape on the pitch.

The new coach insists patience and discipline will be crucial in chasing glory. “We take each game as it comes. The results will follow, and I’m sure the fans will be proud of this team,” he said.

With the club backing him fully and his vision clearly laid out, David Bujego’s tenure at Police Bullets could mark the beginning of a golden chapter in Police's quest for continental qualification.
