The ceremony brought together key political figures, high-profile dignitaries, and close friends from across East Africa to witness the joyous union on the picturesque shores of Lake Victoria.
The venue featured a long mirrored walkway lined with white floral arrangements leading to an arch decorated with cascading roses.
Charlene made a grand entrance in a floral wedding gown, escorted down the aisle by her parents, Kenyan President William Ruto and First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto.
The First Couple sparkled in their resplendent outfits, which blended burgundy, white and brown, giving them a coordinated appearance for the momentous occasion.
President William Ruto opted for a tailored maroon suit accented with a cream hat, white shirt, and a black bow tie.
He completed the look with a beige fedora hat with a dark band and a decorative walking stick, which he carried as he walked alongside his wife.
First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto complemented him in a long maroon dress detailed with subtle floral embroidery and a matching wide-brimmed dusty rose hat.
As the couple exchanged their vows, guests cheered on the bride and groom.
The event saw representation from both Kenya and Tanzania, showcasing a blend of diplomacy, culture, and family values.
From the Kenyan delegation, President Ruto arrived in Mwanza alongside senior government officials, close political allies - including Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi - and members of the First Family.
On the other side, the Tanzanian hosts pulled out all the stops to welcome the Kenyan First Family, setting up branded installations across Mwanza celebrating the union of Charlene and Isaya.
Meanwhile, an image circulating online shows a neatly designed sign pinned to a palm tree trunk at the Mwanza, Tanzania venue.
Printed in the couple's signature white and maroon palette and adorned with delicate floral illustrations, the sign carries their monogram "CI" at the top before delivering a clear message to guests.
Under the bold heading "Phone Concierge," the notice reads: "To ensure the privacy and comfort of all our guests, we kindly request that no photographs or videos be taken during the event." It closes with a polite appeal: "Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and for helping us maintain the privacy of this special celebration."
A Phone Concierge service, common at high-profile celebrity events, typically involves guests handing over their devices at the entrance or having them locked in special pouches for the duration of the event. It effectively rules out selfies, live-streaming and any footage finding its way onto social media.
Despite the rule, videos and photos have still continued to leak onto the internet.
In one video clip doing rounds online, a dramatic and festive pyrotechnic display unfolds as the newlywed couple poses for photos on a lush green lawn by the waterfront.
As they embrace and turn toward the camera, a succession of explosive ground-level charges erupts along the seawall, shooting massive plumes of colored smoke high into the air.
The display bursts sequentially in brilliant waves of deep red and pink, shifting into vibrant emerald green, and finally culminating in striking blue smoke against the sky
The Mwanza ceremony marks the final phase of a multi-part matrimonial journey that began earlier in the year.
The couple first formalised their union during the Kalenjin traditional dowry and engagement ceremony, known as the Koito, held on August 8, 2026, at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
In the days leading up to the white wedding in Tanzania, Charlene hosted a "Mother's Blessing" prayer gathering with Mama Rachel Ruto and close family matriarchs, which was followed by a celebratory bridal shower in Nairobi.
