Hiking trip turns tragic as two men fall into Ragia Falls in Nyandarua

A hiking expedition at Ragia Falls, located inside Ragia Forest in Njabini Kiburu Ward, Kinangop, Nyandarua County, turned tragic after two young men fell into the waterfall.

The two were reportedly taking selfies at the site when the incident occurred on Friday evening.

Search and rescue operations were launched but were called off due to darkness. The mission is expected to resume on Saturday.

Ragia Falls is a popular destination for hikers and tourists, known for its scenic views, the Mau Mau caves, and its proximity to the Sasumua Dam.

The victims are said to hail from Kĩhunguru and Rwanyambo villages in South Kinangop.
