The first leg is set for October 24 from 6PM at Nyayo Stadium before the two teams clash in the return leg on Tuesday, October 28 at Stade Lat Dior in Thiès, Senegal.
The Starlets, currently in an intense training session in Nairobi, are showing strong determination and focus as they prepare to face the Gambian side.
They have described their preparations as disciplined and rigorous, both players and the technical bench working tirelessly to ensure a positive outcome.
Speaking ahead of the match, Shirleen Opisa, one of the team’s key forwards, expressed confidence about the team’s readiness and optimism to deliver in both legs of the encounter.
"We believe in ourselves because of the training, the fans should fill the stadium and see the best we've put in training. We are ready to win both home and away." said Opisa.
Her sentiments were echoed by Faith Mboya, another forward who emphasized the team’s belief and fighting spirit heading into the crucial qualifiers.
"We are pushing ourselves and we believe that we will make it against Gambia," Mboya stated.
Under the guidance of their coach Beldine Odemba and technical team, the Starlets have been improving their tactics and tuning coordination on the field.
Kenya is aiming to make a return to the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since their debut appearance in 2016.
