GSU begin KVF title defence against KAPU, KCB face Prisons

The men’s new season kicks off on the weekend of November 6-9 at Nyayo Gymnasium with other six matches on the card including KPA vs Trailblazers, Prisons Rift valley vs KDF, Eldoret Water vs AP Kenya and Prisons Nairobi vs National Service Unit.
GSU reclaimed the men’s title for the first time since 2022, after thrashing KPA 3-0 sets in the playoff final in June, a triumph that saw Kenya Prisons relinquish their two-year dominance.
The women’s new season will serve off a week later with holders Kenya Pipeline facing Kenya Army at Nyayo Stadium while former champions KCB and Kenya Prisons face off in a blockbuster opener at the same venue.
Geoffrey Omondi-coached Kenya Pipeline reclaimed the women’s glory after defeating Directorate of the Criminal Investigations (DCI) 3-2 sets in the final.
In other women’s opening fixtures, KDF will serve off against A-Plus Volleyball Club, Post Bank take on Kenyatta University while last season’s runner up DCI launch another title bid against Nairobi Prisons.
The second leg of the women’s league will be held on the weekend of February 12-15 next year with the men’s version following a week later.
