The government remains on course to deliver the 10,000-capacity Migori Stadium in Migori County, which currently stands at 40 percent completion.

Sports CS Hon. Salim Mvurya, EGH, conducted an inspection of the ongoing works alongside Migori alongside area governor H.E. Ochilo Ayako on Wednesday afternoon in a bid to expedite the completion of the facility.

The two were satisfied with the steady progress being made through close collaboration between the national and county governments.

The project has engaged over 1,000 local residents, providing much-needed employment and improving livelihoods within the community.

Once completed, Migori Stadium will serve as a modern facility for talent development, nurturing, and scouting, opening up new opportunities for young people in the region and beyond.

CS was accompanied by Sports PS Elijah Mwangi, the technical team from Sports Kenya, and officials from the county administration.
