Unveiled in Abu Dhabi on February 5, 2026, the podcast positions itself as a space where voices from regions often treated as peripheral take centre stage.
Rather than reacting to global trends, the series explores how countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and beyond are actively driving change in media, policy, technology and culture.
Hosted by Najla AlZarouni, the show brings together policymakers, academics, entrepreneurs and cultural leaders for candid conversations that go deeper than headlines.
Through lived experiences and professional insight, guests unpack how power, storytelling and influence intersect in today’s rapidly shifting global landscape.
The inaugural season features a diverse guest list, including AI scientist and TIME100 Impact Award winner Anima Anandkumar, African Union of Broadcasting CEO Gregoire Ndjaka, and policy expert Dr Serhat Suha Cubukcuoglu.
Discussions span topics such as digital transformation, smart agriculture, public service media and cultural soft power.
Speaking at the launch, AlZarouni noted that the Global South is no longer on the sidelines but is increasingly shaping the direction of global influence.
Episode One is already streaming on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Podcasts, with new episodes scheduled for release every two weeks.
