According to Kioni, Gachagua met leaders in Narok County at an undisclosed date, where he tried to explain why the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) was denying Narok Town Ward aspirant Joshua Ole Kaputa a party ticket for the upcoming by-elections.
Kioni told Hot 96's Emmanuel Too on Sunday evening that the meeting had 15 members, among them members of the clergy, that there was an arrangement made between him and President Ruto and Joshua would be given a nomination at a later time.
"Gachagua told them that William Ruto has already sent emissaries to them and they had an arrangement to put their houses in order and then meet to have a discussion," Kioni alleged.
"And he was saying "by that time I will have the 7 million votes from the mountain region, 1 million from Kalonzo and 800,000 from Matiang'i. I will now have more than half of the cake and I will share some of it with the Maasai community. So Joshua you should wait, we will nominate you."
Kioni however denied to disclose further details on the confidential meeting, saying "He said it himself. I will give you the date and hour the minute I leave this place (studio)".
He maintained that the Jubilee party is willing to work with like-minded parties and will not onboard anyone involved in sinister political deals.
"We would like to work with like-minded parties that actually believe in sending William Ruto home not in "get your people and I get mine", he noted.
He therefore urged the young people to register themselves as voters as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) embarks on a continuous voter registration starting today, September 29.
"You must register and register in numbers. It makes no sense to be an active critic of the government and you fail to vote them out. Failure to that amounts to voting them in," he said.
IEBC targets 6.3 million new voters to take the register from 22.1 million to 28 million.
