Fuel prices drop in EPRA's latest review

The Authority reported that Super Petrol prices have been reduced by Ksh.2 per litre, while Diesel and Kerosene have each dropped by Ksh.1 per litre.
In Nairobi, a litre of super petrol will now retail at Ksh.182.52, while diesel will sell at Ksh.170.47 and Kerosene at Ksh.153.78.
In Mombasa, the cost will retail at Ksh.180.24, Ksh.167.19 and Ksh.150.49 for super petrol, diesel and kerosene, respectively.
"The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020," EPRA noted in a statement.
The Authority further noted that the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol decreased by 0.10% from US$592.84 (Ksh.76,446.72) per cubic metre in November 2025 to US$592.24 (Ksh.76,369.35) per cubic metre in December 2025.
Diesel decreased by 4.20% from US$654.24 (Ksh.84,364.25) per cubic metre to US$626.75 (80,819.41) per cubic metre while Kerosene decreased by 8.92% from US$667.05 (86,016.10) per cubic metre to US$607.55 (78,343.57) per cubic metre over the same period.
The prices will remain effective until EPRA's next monthly review scheduled for February 14, 2026.
