Four killed after mine collapses in West Pokot

Four people have died after a shaft collapsed at a mining site in Kambi Karai area in West Pokot County on Thursday, October 2.
According
to a police report, the quartet comprising Silas Losenya, 22, Jacob
Tsangana,30, Morio Akotopuo, 35, and 14-year-old Lopoghon Lopakar were buried
alive after the mine caved in.
Police
officers were later dispatched to the scene after receiving an alert from NPR
officer David Domongura.
The
bodies were transferred to Kapenguria County Hospital Mortuary.
