Former SHA CEO Robert Ingasira among 9 arrested over fraudulent claims

Former Acting Social Health Authority (SHA) Chief Executive Officer Robert
Ingasira is among nine suspects arrested on Wednesday in connection with fraudulent
claims made to the State body.
Ingasira was nabbed in Naivasha over his alleged involvement
in a fraudulent Ksh.17,591,473 made by Archprime Medical Clinic in Homa Bay
County.
Elijah Wachira, who also served as SHA CEO before Ingasira, is
also being sought in connection with the offence.
They face multiple charges, among them; conspiracy to defraud
contrary to section 317 of the Penal Code, misappropriation of funds contrary
to section 48(2) of SHI Act; abuse of office contrary to section 101 of penal
code.
Others who were arrested alongside Ingasira over the Archprime
Medical Clinic fraudulent claim are Rosemary Daraja are Peter Abuna.
Justus Odhiambo Ouma and Vera Atieno Otieno were also nabbed
after being incriminated by an alleged fraudulent Ksh.1,101,760 made by the Vebeneza
Enterprise Medical Clinic in Nairobi County.
At Rachuonyo East sub-county hospital, which made an alleged
false claim amounting to Ksh.535,840, three suspects were arrested, namely: Bill
Clinton Ochieng, Cynthia Odhiambo, and Phelix Otieno.
Noah Odhiambo Were, on the other hand, was arrested over an alleged similar claim amounting Ksh.315,840 at the Nyatoto Health Centre.
