Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) extended their perfect run at the ongoing FIBA Zone Five Women’s Basketball League Africa (WBLA) 2025 Qualifiers with a commanding 94–41 victory over Uganda’s Magic Stormers in a Pool A clash staged Tuesday evening at the Nyayo National Stadium Gymnasium.

The Dockers, who opened their campaign with an 81–57 win over Tanzania’s Foxes Divas on Sunday, once again displayed their dominance on both ends of the court.

The Kenyan champions controlled the game from start to finish, beginning with a 21–08 lead in the first quarter and stretching it further with a 29–12 second-quarter performance to head into halftime comfortably ahead at 50–20.

After the break, the Mombasa-based side tightened their grip on the contest, taking the third quarter 23–11 before sealing the win with a strong 21–10 finish in the fourth.

KPA’s victory was powered by an outstanding quartet: Alima Doumbia, Ifunaya Okoro, Aminata Ly, and Betty Kananu, who combined for an impressive 64 points, while the rest of the squad shared the remaining 30 points.

The unbeaten Dockers return to action Wednesday at 7:00 PM against Burundi’s Gladiators, as they seek to maintain their flawless run. Magic Stormers will meanwhile face Rwanda’s APR at 4:30 PM.

Elsewhere, Zetech Sparks suffered their second defeat of the qualifiers after a heavy 44–86 loss to Rwanda’s giants REG in Pool B. This came just a day after their 61–75 defeat to Les Hippos of Burundi.

The students, who are featuring at this stage for the first time, struggled against the experienced Rwandan side and lost all four quarters. They started on the back foot, going down 16–24 in the opening quarter before a further 12–26 loss in the second, heading into the halftime break trailing 28–50.

After the interval, Zetech could not keep up with REG’s tempo, conceding 08–23 in the third quarter and 08–13 in the fourth to seal the emphatic loss.

Kadidia Maiga, Hope Butera, Kayana Traylor and Kristina King led REG's dominant display, combining for 50 points.

Both teams will rest on Wednesday before returning to action for their final group matches on Thursday.
