Father kills 4-year-old son, dies by suicide amid dispute in Nakuru

Residents of Buruburu Estate in Manyani, Kivumbini Ward, Nakuru Town East Sub-County, were shocked on Monday when a man killed his 4-year-old son before committing suicide.
Nakuru Town East Police Commander Samson Adanje confirmed the incident and identified the man as Denis Michael Nthenge.
Police believe that Nthenge forced his son, who was in PP1, to drink poison before hanging himself inside his home later that night.
Neighbors reported that Nthenge was embroiled in ongoing domestic disputes with his wife, who had recently left for her parents' home in Machanga.
According to witnesses, he picked up the child from school around 4 p.m., before the tragedy occurred.
Police say Nthenge left a note alleging that he suspected his wife of infidelity.
