Triple Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon produced a breathtaking display of sustained pace and explosive kicking power to claim the 1500 meters crown at the Diamond League Final.
Kipyegon took the bell at three minutes and two seconds before accelerating through the final 400 meters in a blazing 56.4 seconds, leaving international rivals trailing by over twenty meters.
"I ran with joy and gratitude for everyone back home who believes in our athletics legacy," Kipyegon remarked wrapped in the Kenyan national flag.
