Despite the bankers losing 90-99 to the dockers in a match staged at Nyayo Gymnasium, Nairobi, Lubarov praised his team’s performance against one of the league’s top sides, noting that they exceeded expectations offensively.
“I thought we played really well. We scored above expectations against a very good KPA team. However, I’m not discouraged,” he said.
The tactician emphasized consistency in his team’s approach regardless of the opponent. “That’s what we are doing, no matter who it is,” he added.
Looking ahead, Lubarov expressed confidence in his squad’s potential, insisting their current record does not reflect their true quality.
“I’m looking forward to practices this week. We will get back to the gym, continue improving, and continue to grow together as a team.
“I genuinely believe that we’re a much better team than our record suggests, and I’m feeling quite good about the product that we’re putting on the court,” he noted.
Equity Dumas are third with 10 points from seven games, with a 3-4 record in their opening seven match ups of the season.
