EldoHub, a technology and innovation hub based in Eldoret, has bagged four top honors at the AfriLabs Annual Awards 2025, held at the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON). The awards ceremony took place during the AfriLabs Annual Gathering, themed “Africa’s Innovation Future: Policy, Partnerships & Progress.”
EldoHub received recognition in the following categories: Regional Hub of the Year – Eastern Africa, Most Collaborative Hub, Excellence in Gender Inclusion and Community Engagement Champion.
The AfriLabs
Awards celebrate innovation hubs and ecosystem enablers that promote inclusion,
collaboration, and technological advancement across the continent. Winners were
selected through a combination of ecosystem and public voting, followed by a
jury evaluation based on impact, partnerships, and overall contribution to
Africa’s innovation landscape.
EldoHub Founder
and CEO Magdaline Chepkemoi
said the recognition affirms the hub’s ongoing efforts to empower young people
and women through technology and entrepreneurship.
“This
recognition is a victory for every innovator and entrepreneur who has walked
through our doors,” Chepkemoi said. “It highlights the power of collaboration
and inclusion in shaping Africa’s digital future.”
Since its
establishment in 2016, EldoHub has trained more than 25,000 youth and women across
Kenya and East Africa through initiatives such as the Tech Academy, SasaKazi platform,
Miliki Accelerator,
and TechLab Mashinani.
Chepkemoi added that the awards reflect the role of partnerships and community engagement in advancing digital transformation and building resilient innovation ecosystems.
