The DP said Mr. Leo has demonstrated notable grasp of pertinent issues affecting residents including on roads, water, electricity, education and other key issues of importance to Mbeere North voters.
Prof. Kindiki spoke on Saturday when led campaigns for Mr Leo in Ngiiri and Kyenire in the Constituency, urging voters not to be duped into abandoning the government implementing projects worth billions of shillings in the area.
“We are supporting Wamuthende because we will work with him to complete the projects being implemented by the government in the area,” DP noted.
The DP said the ruling party has thrown support behind the candidate because he has the best credentials to be the next Mbeere North MP.
“It is only Leo who has affirmed his support for bursary for all students from Mbeere North. His competitors want to scrap the programme yet it is beneficial to hundreds of learners,” he noted.
The government is fulfilling the promises made to the people of Mbeere North through tarmacking of roads, extension of water projects, electricity connection and construction of modern markets among many others.
DP Kindiki assured the residents that the administration will never marginalize them as previous regimes did.
He called the hypocrisy by those supporting the opposition candidate saying they never did anything to influence any projects in the area during their time in powerful positions.
“When we needed them most, we didn’t see them here in Mbeere. Now, they are all over insulting us and talking down leaders to the people. Don’t be distracted by them. This is our government. We are going to push for development within. We will not abandon it as some of our opponents are telling you,” he reiterated.
He urged voters to turn up in large numbers and vote for Mr. Leo on Thursday saying the gesture will be properly reciprocated.
“We will be grateful and we will not forget your support. We will complete ongoing projects and commence many more here,” he said.
