The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched
a manhunt for a man who brutally murdered his wife and two children in the Yare
area of Samburu County last month.
The suspect, 28-year-old Wycliffe Otieno Odero, is said to
have stabbed his wife to death before viciously killing his two young daughters
in their sleep after he came home drunk on September 27, 2025.
“On that tragic night, the suspect returned to their rented
house on the Maralal–Nyahururu road, where he lived with his wife, Ann Njeri
Atheera, and their daughters, Natalia Nyambura (6) and Tyra Jones (4),” stated
the DCI.
“In a fit of drunken rage, he attacked his wife, inflicting
fatal stab wounds before turning his violent outburst on the two sleeping
children, tragically slitting their throats.”
Following the murder, DCI says the suspect then fled the scene
of the crime and has since managed to evade the police dragnet since then.
The DCI is now imploring the public to share any information
that could help locate Odero by reporting to the nearest police station or
through the #FichuaKwaDCI platform.
