Coach Leonard Saleh has ditched National Super League side Luanda Villa FC after a successful one year stint at the Mumboha based club.
Saleh has stated that he deemed it fit to call it quits when his contract expired on January 5 after discovering that the management was not willing address issues bedevilling the club.
"I chose to leave Luanda Villa at the expiry of my contract after the management failed to honour their agreement about the contract," Saleh said.
"The club owes me arrears for five months and I could not wait to see the sixth month begin and end without hopes that the management would settle my dues," he added.
Saleh joined Luanda Villa in the mid of last season after former AFC Leopards tactician Gilbert Selebwa who had taken from Tom Tera because of the CAF B class coaching requirement left citing financial constraints.
"Moving forward, it will be important for the management of top tier and National Super League teams to uphold the Club Licensing rules if we are to grow Kenyan football to required international standards," Saleh urged as he revealed that the opaque nature in which some clubs are run could ruin football talent development.
"The management must learn to honour the contracts after declaring their accounts at the onset of the league so that there are no surprises mid season,"he added.
Saleh has this season led Luanda Villa FC to victory six times, drawing in three matches and will be leaving the club sitting in the thirteenth position with twenty one points on the NSL log with only four games left to end the first leg.
"If Luanda Villa can rectify a few issues quickly i may return but as things stand i am in the market hoping to land to a better place than my former station," he avvred.
Luanda Villa is said to be courting former Kenyan international Francis Chinjili among others, as Saleh's replacement pending official unveiling of the expected new technical bench.
