Preparations for the third edition of the Great Chepsaita Cross Country Run have intensified ahead of the annual event slated for December 6 2025.
As part of the build-up to the much-anticipated event, a special prayer day was held at the Chepsaita Grounds to bless the course. The ceremony brought together hundreds of religious leaders, locals, and athletes who gathered in unity to dedicate the event to God and pray for its success.
The event was presided over by the event’s patron, Farouk Kibet, who emphasized the importance of using the race as a platform to nurture local athletic talent and promote growth in the education sector.
He
was joined by Lurambi MP Titus Khamala, Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe, and
Malava parliamentary aspirant David Ndakwa, all of whom applauded the ongoing
efforts to uplift the lives of local residents -both directly and indirectly- through
sports and community development initiatives.
