The newbies dominated NYS in sets of 25-22, 25-12 and 25-13 to announce their arrival in the topflight league in style.
The Juja-based club named a star-studded first seven which included their summer big name-signings Hudson Kipchumba, Levis Ogutu and Eugene Okello.
The trio set the pace of the game and their quality was evident with Ogutu and Okello at the heart of their powerful blocks.
Chema will be eyeing to extend their brilliant display when they face AP Kenya on Saturday.
NYS, who are still searching for their first win after losing to Prisons Nairobi yesterday, will seek redemption against Kenya Airport Police Unit (KAPU).
Meanwhile, former champions Kenya Prisons continued their stellar start to the new campaign with a 3-0 win over Rift Valley Prisons, a day after crushing Equity Bank 3-1.
The bankers also found themselves on the losing end in a late serve off after being crushed by Kenya Ports Authority 3-1.
Equity will be searching for their first win of the season on Saturday when they face Rift Valley Prisons.
In an early serve off, KDF stunned Eldowas 3-2 in an epic five set-set thriller as AP Kenya swept off Nairobi Prisons in straight sets.
