The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) lowered the benchmark policy rate from 12.00% to 11.25% on Thursday, underscoring growing confidence in macroeconomic stabilization.
Central Bank Governor noted that overall national inflation had dropped to 4.1%, comfortably positioned within the government’s target band of 2.5% to 7.5%.
"The easing of monetary policy is aimed at stimulating private sector credit growth, spurring manufacturing expansion, and lowering capital financing costs for Kenyan businesses," the Governor briefed reporters.
