'Beware of quacks': Parents taking their boys for circumcision warned

This comes amid previous cases of quacks administering the procedure and leading to children getting serious infections.
Ferdinand Babu, a medic, warned that if not managed well, the set up where circumcision is done can become a breeding ground for infections and spread of HIV.

"There have been situations where the boys' organs have been mutilated because quacks are administering the procedure," he said.

Babu urged parents to ensure they demand that the equipment used on their children is sterilised.
