FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) club Bandari FC have appointed Said Mata as the new chairman of the club’s supervisory board following recent leadership changes.

Mata takes over from Steven Thoya, who together with other board members, was dismissed in December last year amid internal challenges that had affected the club.

In a statement released to the media, the club also announced the appointment of Dave Jones Buchere as the new deputy chairman of the board.

Meanwhile, Tony Kibwana will continue serving as the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In addition to his current role, Kibwana has been given expanded responsibilities and will also serve as the club’s Secretary General.

The club has also named Peter Thuku as its new treasurer.

Other individuals appointed as trustees of the board include Musa Hassan Musa, John Maritim, Cleopatra Taabu, Gunda Kaneno and Matreda Mwakireti.

The new appointments are expected to strengthen the club’s leadership structure as Bandari FC looks to stabilize its operations.
