All systems go as 850 athletes gear up for GOTF in Abu Dhabi

Over 850 athletes from 65 countries across the world have come together to compete in an innovative mix of physical and digital disciplines, showcasing the future of athleticism and technology.
This year’s event, running from December 18th to 23rd, is a celebration of the convergence between the real world and the virtual realm.
The Games of the Future will feature 11 disciplines that push the boundaries of traditional sports. These include Phygital Football powered by ADNOC, where competitors face off in both a video game and on the football pitch.
Phygital Basketball 3on3 FreeStyle, which blends digital play with real-life basketball action; Phygital Fighting: FATAL FURY City of the Wolves, combining mixed martial arts and gaming; and Phygital Dancing: Just Dance, where competitors replicate on-screen choreography.
Other events include Phygital Shooter: CS2, Battle Royale featuring Fortnite, MOBA PC: Dota 2, MOBA Mobile: MLBB, Phygital Drone Racing, VR-game HADO Global Invitation, and the thrilling Battle of Robots.
With these 11 disciplines, the GOTF 2025 aims to redefine the sports landscape, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for fans and athletes alike as they explore the future of sports where physical prowess and digital mastery unite.
