8-year-old girl escorting sister to school killed in accident

A family is in mourning following the death of their daughter who was killed in an accident on Monday.
Police said that the deceased, an 8-year-old, was escorting her sister who was to join form one at Lugulu Girls High School.
The girl, who was in the ill-fated car, died following the accident that happened at Bilibili area along the busy Webuye highway.
Witnesses said the accident involved a private vehicle and a lorry. The vehicles were heading in opposite directions.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, they added that the private vehicle had four passengers.
"Five people who sustained injuries are undergoing treatment at Kimilili Hospital."
The body of the deceased has been taken to Kiminini Cottage Hospital Mortuary.
