3K FC eyeing fifth NSL win ahead of Gucha Stars visit

‎‎The Embu-based side has shown strong improvement compared to last season and currently sit third on the log with 15 points after eight matches.

‎‎Speaking ahead of the encounter, head coach Francis Chege believes his side has what it takes to secure another crucial win at home, noting that the players are well prepared for the challenge ahead.

‎‎However, he expects a tough battle from Gucha Stars, a team he describes as having experienced and resilient players.

‎‎“It will not be an easy match because Gucha Stars are also a good side with quality players, some of them who played for Shabana FC,” said Chege.

“But we have prepared well, and our motivation is high as we chase another important win this season.”

‎‎One of the biggest strengths for 3K this campaign has been their defensive solidity. The team has managed to keep five clean sheets in their opening eight games—an achievement the coach says reflects their growth, discipline, and improved organization on the pitch.

‎‎“We are doing much better this season. Our defense has been consistent with five clean sheets in eight matches, and while we may not be scoring many goals, our forwards are doing just enough to give us the results,” added Chege.

‎‎On the other hand, Gucha Stars sit 14th in the standings with seven points from five matches. They will be looking to upset the hosts and climb away from the lower side of the table.

‎‎With both sides keen on securing maximum points, fans can expect a spirited contest as 3K push to strengthen their fight for promotion while Gucha battle to rise from the bottom half of the standings. The kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
